Free website audit A free website audit for North Idaho businesses

Send us your web address. We’ll look at your site the way Google does and tell you what we find: a short, specific list of what’s wrong, what it’s costing you, and what we’d fix first.

What we check

What we look at

Speed, on a phone

Not your laptop on office wi-fi. A phone on patchy signal somewhere between Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint is the test that counts.

Whether Google can read it

Titles, headings, descriptions, structured data, your sitemap and robots file. This is where the quiet problems hide.

Whether you show up locally

Consistent business details, a Google Business Profile that matches your site, and pages for the towns you serve.

Whether it converts

A tappable phone number, a contact form that actually reaches a person, and a page that says what you do in five seconds.

Whether it’s safe

Out-of-date software, missing SSL, no backups, and whose account the domain is registered under. This one surprises people most.

What to leave alone

Not everything needs fixing. We’ll tell you what’s genuinely fine, so nobody sells you on it.

Why a person

What a person catches that a free scanner doesn’t

Free SEO audit tools and scanners measure what software can measure: load time, missing tags, broken links. They can’t tell you that your contact form sends to an inbox nobody reads, that your best service isn’t on the site, or that the problem they flag in red doesn’t matter for your business. That part takes a person.

We run the same checks the scanners do, including Google’s Lighthouse, then read your site the way a customer would: on a phone, looking for what you do, where you do it and how to reach you. We also check accessibility basics like contrast, image descriptions and keyboard use, because the same fixes help every visitor.

Rather check a few things yourself first? Our free tools grade your Google profile, preview your search results and find lead leaks.

What you get back

A short list, in plain English, ordered by what to fix first

  • Fix now: actively costing you customers or search visibility.
  • Worth doing: a real improvement, not urgent.
  • Leave alone: genuinely fine. Don’t let anyone sell you on it.

It costs nothing and there’s no obligation. Some audits turn into a rescue, some into a rebuild, and some into “your site’s fine, here are two things to change yourself.”

We won’t tell you to rebuild when you don’t need to, we won’t hand you an automated scan with our logo on it, and we won’t chase you afterwards.

Practising what we recommend

What we found on our own site

An audit is worth what the person doing it knows, so here’s what we did to our own site.

We found 481 MB of images being loaded from someone else’s server across 71 pages, a testimonials page that had never been filled in, and a robots file pointing Google at a sitemap of roughly a thousand pages that no longer existed.

We fixed all of it, then rebuilt the site in the design you’re looking at now. On a phone, our speed score went from 44 to 97 and accessibility to 100; on desktop the site now scores 100 in every category.

Most agencies won’t show you their own numbers.

Questions

Website audit questions

Is the audit really free?

Yes. There’s no charge and no obligation. Some audits turn into work for us and many don’t, and both are fine.

Is it an automated report?

No. A person reviews your site and writes the results. We use the same measuring tools anyone can, then tell you which findings matter for your business and which don’t.

Do I have to hire you to fix anything?

No. Plenty of the fixes are things you or your current developer can do, and we’ll say which ones.

What if my site is fine?

Then we’ll tell you so, and point out the one or two things worth doing yourself.

Is this the same as a free SEO audit?

It covers what an SEO audit does (titles, headings, structured data, what Google can index) and adds what one usually skips: speed on a phone, whether your forms reach you, local listings and security, reviewed by a person.
